Michelle McCarthy,
Treasurer
As a native Southern
Californian, I have been involved with many sporting activities. My
ultimate sporting love is volleyball, including indoor leagues and
doubles on the beach. Some of my other favorite activities include
snow skiing and dancing.
I earned my undergraduate
degree in psychology at UCLA, but my fascination with the human body
led me to the profession of Physical Therapy. I went on to earn a
doctorate in Physical Therapy at USC, and I have been practicing in
West Los Angeles for almost 10 years.
I’ve been interested in
adaptive sports for several years. On a certain Tuesday evening 9
years ago, I stayed after work to attend an Unrecables Social
Meeting at the V.A. Medical Center and have been a member ever
since! I’m excited to have found a great club with so much to offer.
Spending weekends at Mammoth Mountain as an instructor candidate
definitely brightens the winter season.
The Unrecables is a fantastic
organization, and I am proud to be serving as your Membership
Director. Holding Board positions within this club has provided me
with valuable learning experiences in the realm of protocol and
long-range planning. I aim to help progress our club to new heights,
and to use my resources to help bring in new members.
Last December, Rob and I had a
beautiful baby girl, Taylor Anne. This past season we brought her to
Mammoth and we appreciate those of you who offered to baby-sit while
we were skiing.
I am grateful for the
opportunity to serve again for the coming year, and look forward to
meeting all of you at our upcoming events!
Warm regards,
Michelle McCarthy |
